Banish Weeds

Weeds are never a welcome guest on our lawns. To control weeds, you will need these simple ingredients that are commonly found around the home:

  • 2 cups liquid dish soap
  • 2 cups ammonia
  • 4 tablespoons plain instant tea

Mix in a spray bottle for spot maintenance or a hose-end sprayer to cover more area.

Thatch Control

Thatches are areas of your lawn where the grass and roots have become knotted together, like matted hair. Nutrients and water are unable to filter through the matted grass and the area eventually starves.

  • 1 can beer
  • 2 cups ammonia
  • 1 cup liquid dish soap
  • 1 can non-diet cola

Mix ingredients and apply to lawn as needed with spray bottle or hose-end sprayer.

Lawn Fertilizer

Our lawns need nutrients to get them through the peak growing months, especially if our soil isn’t the healthiest.

  • 1 can beer
  • 1 cup ammonia
  • 1 cup liquid dish soap
  • 1 cup liquid fertilizer
  • 1 cup molasses or corn syrup

Mix together and apply!
